This collection was inspired by memories of playing with my brother’s matchbox cars. I would create imaginary little worlds outside in my mom’s flowerbeds to drive them around in the dirt. It didn’t occur to me then (but it does now) that he probably didn’t appreciate me getting dirt in his cars and though I was very careful to not trample any flowers, I’m sure my mom didn’t love that I was messing up the flowerbeds either.

This painting is part of my “100 paintings for my brother”. All net proceeds from the sale of this painting will be donated to to help find a cure for brain cancer.
